Neocaridina Blue Dream Shrimp
How to Keep:
Avoid drastic water changes and provide them with a nourishing diet for optimal health and coloration. The correct way to change water is to only change ⅓ or ¼ of the tank water. When changing the tank, remove the shrimp waste from the floor. Gently suck up the water at the bottom of the tank. After changing, you need to add minerals to increase GH levels to a stable level to help the microbial system in the tank develop better.
Procedure for releasing shrimps before placing them in the tank:
_The time to add newly purchased shrimp to the tank is exciting, because you have finally found new friends for your tank. But putting new shrimp into the tank incorrectly can cause the shrimp to become sick, stressed, heat-shocked, water-shocked or die. So before putting shrimp, fish, and shrimp into the tank, what do we need to prepare? Let’s find out with KA Aquarium now.
– The mistake that all newbies make when putting shrimp in the tank is to always pour it directly into the tank, this directly causes the shrimp to be shocked by the new living environment, leading to the shrimp being very susceptible to stress and dying within a few days. Even worse, disease-carrying shrimp will infect the entire tank when stocked incorrectly.
Steps to take before placing shrimp in the tank:
_Need to prepare in advance, cycling 7-14 days. Measure and check all parameters (Including temperature, GH, TDS, PH).
– First, you must put the shrimp in the tank for about 30 minutes to let the shrimp get used to the conditions in the tank such as temperature.
– Then pour a little water from the tank where you put the shrimp into about 10% of the water in the bag and do it again after 10 minutes. Do this 3-4 times.
– After the shrimp get used to the temperature, pH and all water parameters. We just use a racket or it is best to open the shrimp’s mouth so that it can integrate into the new environment and avoid temperature shock when the shrimp is removed from the water.
– After releasing the shrimp into the tank, pay attention to observe the shrimp’s behavior to take measures if its condition worsens such as lying in the corner, swimming less and being shy. Shrimp tank should have about 0.5-1cm of soil, driftwood, shelter, and adequate oxygen. For shrimp, do not use a filter with a thread because it can easily cause stress and be sucked into the pump.
KA Aquarium hope you can raise the shrimps you like.
