Its translucent body with dotted patterns offers subtle beauty to any freshwater setting. The Amano shrimp (Caridina Multidentata) is one of the most renowned members of a freshwater aquarium’s clean up crew, and for good reason! Few creatures are so effective at eating hair algae and cleaning plant leaves.

Amano Shrimp Care:
Amano Shrimp (Caridina Multidentata) are great to fight off unwanted algae, they are much bigger than regular cherry shrimps (Neocaridinas) and are peaceful and can also coexist with regular cherry shrimps. These shrimp are incredibly hardy and ideal for any beginner aquarist.

Breeding: Amano Shrimp (Caridina Multidentata) is a very difficult type of shrimp to breed, they only breed in brackish water. During the breeding process, the baby shrimp should be separated from the parents to avoid affecting the development of the baby Amano shrimp.
