When your new fish arrive please remove the tied fish bag and float it in your tank till the water temperature in the bag and tank is similar or equal (It usually takes 20-30 minutes). After that try and gently remove the fish from the bag with your hand (I don’t recommend using a net) and discard water in the bag, do not pour bagged water into your tank.

Note: Do not feed the fish any food after placing the fish in your aquarium for the next 30 hours.

The Longfin Cherry Barb is a stunning variant of the classic Cherry Barb, featuring elongated, flowing fins and a deep red coloration that intensifies during breeding. This peaceful and active schooling fish is a fantastic choice for community aquariums and planted tanks. Hardy and adaptable, the Longfin Cherry Barb thrives in a variety of setups, making it suitable for both beginner and experienced aquarists.

Striking Coloration: Males develop an intense red hue, especially during spawning, while females display a more subdued golden tone.

Elegant Long Fins: The extended, flowing fins add a touch of grace and movement to any aquarium.

The Cherry Barb originates from slow-moving streams, ponds, and shaded waters in Sri Lanka, where they thrive among dense vegetation and leaf litter. Their natural environment has soft, slightly acidic water with moderate flow.

_Minimum tank size: 10 gallons

_Care Level: Easy

_Temperament: Peaceful

Food: Brine shrimp frozen, bloodworm frozen, live daphnia, pellets, high quality dry foods will be accepted, but should be supplemented often with small, meaty frozen and live foods.

Blanched vegetables like zucchini or spinach as an occasional treat
A varied diet enhances their color and promotes overall health.

Note: It is recommended to change the food every 2 days, do not feed the same food continuously. It will adversely affect the digestive system of fish.
